This week I had the good fortune to appear on Episode 7 of the Alexa Podcast, hosted by Bradley Metrock of Score Publishing. Bradley stays busy recording several different podcasts each month on his VoiceFirst.FM platform and I’m an avid listener of them all.
In Episode 7 I talk with Bradley and co-host Kevin Old about our vision for interactive storytelling on voice assistant platforms. Bradley and Kevin asked lots of interesting questions about opportunities and challenges of building narrative skills for voice first devices.
We also touch on the topic of the future of publishing. What impact will voice assistants have on the consumption of audio content? Are there new opportunities for authors and publishers that haven’t yet been tapped into?
We all agreed that these are early days in the evolution of voice first storytelling. But the opportunities abound. If you’re interested in our vision of the future and how we’re working towards it, give the podcast a listen. I’m eager to hear your thoughts on the topics discussed, so feel free to send me an email or contact me on Twitter at @Talks2Bots.
If you work in the voice first space, you’ll want to attend the Alexa Conference, sponsored by Score Publishing. The conference takes place January 18-20 in Chattanooga, TN. Tellables is proud to be one of the sponsors for the conference and I’ll be appearing there as a speaker. I hope to see you in Chattanooga!
