I traveled to Austin last week to experience my first SXSW. If you’re in the tech space and have never gone to a SXSW conference, I highly recommend it. The great thing about this event is how it brings together creative people from so many different disciplines and interest groups. It’s refreshing to be in a session about voice user interfaces or chatbots and find yourself surrounded by publishers, retailers, museum directors, screen writers, you name it!
I provide a detailed overview of my SXSW experiences in a recent article posted on LinkedIn.
In this post I’ll just say that I met lots of wonderful people at the event. The enthusiasm over the voice-first space, smart speakers, and voice user interfaces was palpable. I look forward to staying in touch with many of the new contacts I made in Austin and continuing to explore together the great possibilities of the voice-first revolution.
